| 02/14/2007: | Silent Auction‘s ‘‘NB Sadness‘‘ in stores now! |
We‘re pleased to announce that Silent Auction‘s latest single was officially released on Valentine‘s Day 2007, which we think is fitting because ‘‘NB Sadness‘‘ is one of the coolest synthpop lovesongs you‘ll ever hear. The CD single contains five different mixes, including the album version taken from the forthcoming full-length release ‘‘H On Earth‘‘. Guys, if you‘re looking for the perfect gift for that synthpop girl of yours, this is the one; order it today!

| 02/12/2007: | The reviews are in, and man are we lovin‘ ‘em! |
Honestly, we did NOT pay these people. Not one dime. Here‘s what the critics are saying about Silent Auction‘s ‘‘Amber Lights‘‘ EP. For God‘s sake, what are you waiting for? Get yours today!
Automata Magazine (01/01/2007)
The Amber Lights EP marks Silent Auction’s sixth release. Here the band displays a musical and lyrical maturity that, with proper exposure, will place them alongside such luminaries as Regenerator and Paradoxx. “Reasons to Love” features the powerhouse vocals of Terri Snyder, which fans of Aleixa’s Laurel Snapper will definitely appreciate. The programming is excellent throughout, sounding like a cross between Depeche Mode and ThouShaltNot, albeit with a more futurepop slant ala VNV Nation. The fact that Jason Barbero, who handles most of the lead vocals on the other five tracks, sounds similar to Alexx Reed only reinforces this comparison. Silent Auction captures the secret behind Regenerator and Depeche Mode, meaning that they have created songs that are immediately enjoyable upon first listen and improve over time. Fans of the aforementioned artists would do well to purchase this limited edition CD before it goes out of print.
HotStuff Mail Order (06/01/2006)
This debut release by newcomer Silent Auction shows a lot of promise. At first it reminds me of Glow with a quality female vocalist and a dreamy, yet uptempo traditional synthpop sound. But the next tracks introduce a male vocal lead, and the two begin combining their voices as the CD progresses. They have moments that remind me of the latest album by The Frozen Autumn, with a sort of modern version of Xymox. It‘s a strong introduction to the band, but a shame that it only goes on for six tracks.
