Artist Profile: Chapter 2

Terri Snyder of Chapter 2 says:

I‘ve been playing the piano since I was 9, and although I‘m not technically classically trained, I did have private lessons from a local folk musician for about 5 years and have a basic knowledge of music theory. I never liked the ‘‘homework‘‘ for my lessons, I just liked figuring out what notes worked with which chords and the structure of songs. My teacher understood and switched my lessons from all classical to a mix with classic rock. I thank her for that. And I am still and avid painist, playing any keys I can get my hands on.

Now, many years later, my appreciation for music has grown through new levels and broken through barriers that were set for me when I was younger.

I joined Silent Auction, an electronic synthpop/industrial band almost two years ago when Jason B (lead singer/founder/brains behind the music) invited me to perform at a live show at Vertex as female vocalist. Since then I have taken what I already know from piano and theory and my appreciation for techno-electronica/industrial/ebm and have begun my own journey into composition.
